Who I am
About Emalolabella
Emalolabella is a one-woman workshop run by Emily, making handmade, made-to-measure pieces for children and grown-ups alike. Every item is cut and sewn by hand — so no two are exactly the same, and yours is made to fit you.
Most pieces start life as pre-loved fabric: vintage duvet covers, offcuts and remnants given a second life. That’s what makes them so ridiculously soft and comfortable — it’s a little bit like wearing your bed — and a lot kinder to the planet than buying new.

My hands and sewing machine get to work — usually around one week’s lead time.

Spread the Love
Some things matter too much to keep to yourself. That’s the idea behind Spread the Love: for every face mask bought here, another is made and donated to a local food bank.
Essential items like face masks are needed by everyone, yet they’re one more thing that many people simply can’t afford right now. A little really does go a long way — so let’s spread the love, not the germs.
Frequently asked questions
Is everything really made to measure?
Yes — most pieces are custom made to order. After you buy, email [email protected] with your requested size and height, and I’ll cut it to fit. For dungarees the hips are the most important measurement, so please measure carefully.
How long will my order take?
There’s usually around one week’s lead time while my hands and sewing machine work hard to get your piece to you. If it’s going to be any longer, I’ll email you to let you know.
What are the pieces made from?
Wherever possible, super-soft pre-loved fabrics such as vintage duvet covers. Because it’s reclaimed fabric it’s wonderfully soft and comfortable — and much kinder to the planet than buying new.
How do I care for my piece?
Most items are machine washable at 30–40°C — just wash with similar colours. Care details are noted on each product page.
What is 'Spread the Love'?
For every face mask purchased, another is made for a local food bank. Vital items like face masks should be available to everyone, and a little really does go a long way.
